1. Who we are

Sro is operated by HumanStandard AI Inc., which is responsible for the personal information described here. This policy covers sroaudio.com, the Sro console at console.sroaudio.com, and the Sro API.

2. What we collect

Account details: your email address and any name you give when you sign up, and your organization's profile if you fill one in.
Billing details: if you add a card, Stripe collects and stores it. We receive a Stripe customer reference, a card fingerprint (which tells us whether a card was already used for free credit, without revealing the number), and invoice and payment status. We never see or store full card numbers.
Audio and questions: the recordings you upload, the live audio you stream, and the questions you ask about them.
Usage records: for each call, the time, its kind (file or live), the number of questions, seconds of live audio, its cost, and which API key made it.
API keys: a short visible prefix and a one-way hash of each key. We cannot recover a key after showing it to you once.
Technical data: IP addresses, browser details and timestamps recorded by our hosting providers when you visit the site or call the API, used for security and troubleshooting.

The sroaudio.com website sets no advertising or analytics cookies. The console uses the cookies our sign-in provider needs to keep you signed in.

3. How we handle audio

Uploaded recordings are decoded into short audio windows and kept for 24 hours so you can ask them new questions. They are then deleted, within an hour of expiring.
Live audio is processed in memory as it arrives and is never written to storage.
Answers are returned to you and are not stored.
Sro answers questions about how audio sounds. We do not use it to identify who a speaker is, and we do not create voiceprints.

4. How we use information

To provide the Services, answer your requests, and run your account.
To bill usage, apply credit, and prevent free-credit abuse and fraud.
To secure, debug and support the Services.
To generate aggregated, de-identified data that can in no way be linked to you or any individual, which we use to improve and test our products.
To comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations.

5. Service providers

We share information only with the providers that run the Services for us, under their own data-protection terms:

Clerk: sign-in and account management.
Stripe: payments and invoicing.
Modal: the computing that runs Sro, and the 24-hour storage of uploaded recordings.
Railway: our database of accounts, keys and usage records.
Vercel: hosting for sroaudio.com and the console.
Cloudflare: domain name service.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We disclose information when the law requires it.

6. Retention

Account, billing and usage records are kept while your account is open and afterwards for as long as tax, accounting and legal obligations require. Uploaded recordings are kept for 24 hours as described above. Live audio is not kept.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, or to close your account, by writing to hello@sroaudio.com. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Economic Area, you have further rights under local law, and we will honor them. We will not treat you differently for exercising them. We may keep limited records where the law requires it, such as payment records.

If the audio you send us includes other people, you are responsible for the notices and consents described in our Terms of Service.

8. Security and transfers

Data is encrypted in transit, API keys are stored only as hashes, and each organization can reach only its own recordings. We are based in the United States and our providers process data there.

9. Children

The Services are for developers and businesses and are not directed to anyone under 18.
